The Duomo shopping arena. It was filled with all the branded store :)

DUOMO
Our first trip stop was Milan. Before I step my foot in Milan, I only know that Milan is known for being one of the most fashionable city.
After a long 12 hour flight, we finally reached Milan at 5am. The weather was freezing cold, and unfortunately raining lasted the whole day.
Anyway, we stayed in a small hotel which is 1 hour train ride away from the main city. At first we were quite lost about where to take the train ...where to go...
Luckily, Alvin "loves" to read maps. So I told him for the rest of the trip, I will just follow wherever he goes ..hehehehe..well not because I don't know how to read maps...but rather having two heads reading and micro-scoping the streets, I might as well be the one watching out for the local eateries.
After our 2 days visit in Milan, I didn't really feel the city is really that fashionable. It's almost the same as Singapore, but they have a very nice and magnificent catholic church call the DUOMO. It was really breathtaking.
2 days in Milan was enough for us. We did a bit of shopping and we were so happy to finally eat the real italian pizza and pasta. The taste is incredibly delicious. Boiled pasta drizzled with olive oil and dressed with roasted vegetables is more than enough for me. Not forgetting a glass of white wine :) Blessed
Well...in this city we learnt fast about the Italiano culture and we were being confused by the whole train system as we got lost...but we learnt fast :)
We checked out on the 3rd day and took the city train to Venice. And in that train station, I tasted the best hot chocolate ever. If you think hot chocolate is like milk chocolate, well then you are wrong....The real good cup of hot chocolate is thick, bitter-sweet (but not too sweet, as the sweetness naturally comes from the roasted cocoa nibs), and it's pure cocoa with no milk. A butter cookie goes perfectly with that.
And i really love the train ride too...the scenery is too beautiful. It's a 2 hour ride, but with the view, I feel time passed so fast.
